Nail Art For Patriotic Holidays, Pool Parties, Weddings, And Summertime Fun

Looking for some new nail art to heat up your spring and summer season? Memorial Day weekend ended, but that doesn’t mean you still can’t rock the patriotic look. You can use the following nail art designs for other patriotic holidays such as the Fourth of July and Labor Day. You can also rock patriotic nails every day of the week since the nautical trend is huge this year.

Your nails don’t have to be patriotic. There are other nail art designs you can wear to weddings, pool parties, barbecues, and more. There’s no real reason for your nails to be bare this summer.

Neon Nail Art

This tutorial won’t leave you feeling hot and frazzled. YouTube manicurist HannahRoxNails will show you how to get the neon ombré look for the summertime. All you need is your favorite neon nail polishes, a makeup sponge, and a nail polish remover to clean up your cuticles. This neon nail art is perfect to wear to an outdoor music festival or at the beach.

Diamond Nail Art

Are you getting married soon? Or, were you invited to a summertime wedding? Class up your nails with this diamond nail art tutorial. This is an updated version of the classic French manicure that you can do in three simple steps. This wedding manicure comes from the experts at Paintbox salon in New York City.

  1. Layer two coats of rose gold nail polish. Use Paintbox Gelish Oh What a Knight, Essie Penny Talk, or CND Vinylux in Chiffon Twirl.
  2. Create a vertical stripe in the middle of each nail with a thin nail art brush. Create short, fast strokes to get that perfect straight line. Draw the outside borders first, and then fill in the line. Make sure your line is thick enough to place the Swarovski crystals on top. You can use Paintbox Gelish Arctic Freeze or Essie Blanc.
  3. Pick up the mini crystals with the blunt end of a rosewood stick dipped in clear polish. Set each one carefully in a vertical line.

Memorial Day Nail Art

Even though Memorial Day has passed, you can still wear this nail art all summer long. It’s even appropriate for the Fourth of July. Celebrity manicurist Jin Son Choi is the brains behind this look, which is quick and easy to do.

  1. Apply a base coat such as JINsoon Power Coat, followed by JINSoon Doux to all of your nails.
  2. Create a slight from left to the right of the nail. Use a striping brush and JINSoon Cool Blue to get the look. Vary the thickness of the stripes so that one side is thicker than the other side. Apply more pressure to the brush as you draw the lines.
  3. Mimic the line you created using JINSoon Kookie White.
  4. Repeat the previous step with JINSoon Coquette.
  5. Use JINSoon Top Gloss, so that your look doesn’t chip.
