Safaree Samuels Throws Shade At Ex Nicki Minaj, Claims The ‘Anaconda’ Singer Was Never Supportive Of His Career

Although Safaree Samuels and his ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj haven’t been together for over a year, Samuels is still dealing with the difficult breakup. In a recent interview with VladTV, the rapper reflected on what it was like dating Minaj and dealing with her large male fan base.

“There was still some stuff that would happen that would bother me … I don’t know with me, I get over stuff really quick,” Samuels explained in the interview. “I don’t know where I get it from I thank God for that ability but it’s not easy at all.”

Although things didn’t work out for the two, Samuels is moving on despite some issues that remain between them. According to Mstars, while Samuels is supportive of his ex-girlfriend and her engagement to Meek Mill, he doesn’t seem to be so thrilled to offer the same support concerning her music career. Samuels is reluctant to give her his full approval because he doesn’t believe Minaj is willing to do the same in return.

In fact, Safaree Samuels alluded to his disappointment in a recent Instagram post, in which he wrote: “Keep grinding. Someone you don’t even know is rooting for you, while someone you know isn’t.” The rapper then followed up the post with another that seemed to point towards the idea that he isn’t happy with Minaj because she isn’t supportive of his own career.

“I want it for you…But you don’t want it for me,” he wrote. “It is what it is…I’m a start telling everybody I love them b4 they leave me becuz u really neva know if it’s the last time you’ll see the person…the next hour isn’t promised but we take it for granted…Sh*% krazyy…Love #stuntgang.”

Meanwhile, Samuels, who is now dating model Sophia Body, also stated that he believes things worked out for the best, and that he is now better off than he was with Minaj.

“If that’s who she chooses to be with it don’t have nothing to do with me,” he stated. “If I was a bitter jealous person and I was miserable in my life right now, it’ll be different, but mentally, I haven’t been this happy in God knows how long. I just feel free.”

Despite the hard feelings that remain, Safaree Samuels is putting the past behind him and recently released a new mixtape of his own titled It Is What It Is.
