Britney Spears: Here’s How ‘Pretty Girl’ Got Her Smoking Hot New Look

“Pretty Girls” singer Britney Spears may have teamed up with Iggy Azalea for her hit song, but 33-year-old Britney is sporting a new look, thanks to a celebrity personal trainer. In recent years Britney has had well publicized problems with drugs, lost custody of her children, and checked in and out of rehab. Spears was even committed to a psychiatric hospital as her life span out of control.

Despite all of her issues, Britney Spears is a pop-culture icon who had a huge impact on a range of female artists including Iggy Azalea, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga. By the age of 20, Spears had sold over 100 million albums worldwide and was described by Rolling Stone as “one of the most controversial and successful female vocalists of the 21st century.”

Since 2009, Britney has struggled with her weight as she embarked on a cycle of “Yo-Yo” dieting but the Daily Mail reports that Spears has got back into sensational shape with the help of celebrity trainer Tony Martinez. Spears has regained her youthful toned look in preparation for her residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, which began in 2013.

According to Martinez, Britney wanted to “be as toned as possible” before her residency commenced and he helped her to succeed with three to four high intensity 40-minute workouts a week. Tony revealed that Britney was very tenacious in her workouts. he said that Spears “wants to get it done and get it done right.”

Tony says that Britney toned up by using the sort of “body core” exercises used by mountain climbers and by running backwards. Tony told the Mail that Britney “loves to run, but I made her run backwards.”

According to News Australia Tony also helped Spears to clean up her diet to ensure that she had a proper balance of nutrients and high energy levels.

“I pretty much just wanted her to balance out her proteins, carbs, and fat.”

“Everything pretty balanced in that aspect because she was doing a lot of cardio so I wanted her energy up the whole entire time.”

As well as helping Britney Spears to shape up, Martinez has also worked with the likes of Janet Jackson and Pink.

According to the Mail Britney has hinted that she may return to Australia for the first time in six years. While Britney would not confirm any specific plans, she did say in an interview that she would “come back very soon.” Whether this means that Britney will be getting back on the road down-under remains to be seen. It could be that Spears will put in some guest appearances with Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea.
