Kim Kardashian Cried When Kanye West Threw Away Her Clothes And Forced Her To Get A New Wardrobe
In the wake of Kanye West’s first fashion show, which will be held on Thursday night in New York City, his wife Kim Kardashian appeared on Live! With Kelly and Michael with revelations of how her fashion forward husband overhauled her “cheesy” wardrobe.
Kardashian recalled that when they started dating three years ago, West went through her closet and put everything “he thought wasn’t cool enough” in a pile. Upon seeing the huge pile, she couldn’t help but cry. Despite her meltdown, Kardashian decided to trust West’s opinion and according to her, it all “paid off in the end.”
In a separate interview with LOVE magazine, Kardashian related this experience in detail. When West overhauled her wardrobe, he wasn’t alone. He brought some heavy artillery with him in the form of his personal stylist Renelou Padora.
“I said to Kanye, ‘Well, I’m going to save them for my daughter one day,’ and he said, ‘Well, if it’s going to be our daughter, she’s never going to wear those!” Kardashian told the magazine.
The reality star continued, “I think he probably thought they were a bit cheesy. I’d never spent time in London or Paris or seen what style was like around the world, so he wanted to bring in stylists to update my look.” She also shared that West’s stylists brought in things like snakeskin which she had “never seen before.”
As a result, West gave Kardashian an “entire room filled with new clothes” which she described as filled with “really cool designer stuff.” She said that what she went through with West was “such a fun process” and that it helped her fall in love with fashion.
Kardashian also confessed to the show’s hosts that before her appearance for the interview, West requested that she change her outfit. Initially, she chose a revealing outfit but resorted to wearing a long black dress instead.
Acknowledging her husband’s expert fashion advice, Kim admitted, “He was right, it was a little too revealing. I really do trust his opinion.”
Presently, Kardashian has already become well-acquainted with the fashion industry and instead of overhauling closets, she and her husband are now busy with decorating their new home together.
“We have so much fun trying to figure out all these new things in our new home,” Kardashian shared. “It’s been a lot of fun.”
