Neville Longbottom, played by Matthew Lewis, was a charmer in Harry Potter. But he’s definitely no longer in Hogwarts because Lewis showed off his assets for Attitude magazine, reported E! News.
Matthew took the part of the Gryffindor’s darling for JK Rowling’s film saga. But it wasn’t exactly wizardry involved in displaying his daring side for the photo spread.
Fans’ reactions ranged from shock to starstruck. And of course, some just had to get punny.
“Neville Longbottom? I think they meant Neville Longfront.”
“Neville Longbottom: ‘That’s not a wand; THAT’S a wand!'”
“Neville Longbottom is just waving his wand around for everyone to see now. I hear he and Pansy Parkinson are a thing.”

But what everyone really want to know: What did JK Rowling think of Neville Longbottom’s wizard assets? She teased the Harry Potter star on social media, reported Business Insider.
When JK discovered how Lewis had matured (and that maturity was very much on display in the photo spread), she didn’t hesitate to poke fun.
“.@Mattdavelewis Not as bad as watching Dan in Equus, but close. Warn me next time, for God’s sake,” tweeted Rowling.
Matt immediately responded in a way that somewhat resembled Longbottom.
“Well, this is awkward. Sorry, Jo…”
Of course, Rowling had to reassure her Neville that she was just joshing.
“I will always support you whatever you want to do, Matthew. Now go put some clothes on.”
The reference to “Dan in Equus” comes from Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe’s decision to appear nude in the play Equus, as the Inquisitr reported.
Daniel opined that going nude completed his graduation ceremony from Hogwarts and initiation into what Radcliffe views as an elite club.
“To join you have to have been stark b****** naked on stage at some point of your career. I mean full-frontal nudity in front of thousands of people.”
That initiation rite occurred when Daniel was 17 and went beyond-commando for his role in Equus. That honor was his choice for his very first theater acting role, after completing five of the eight Harry Potter films.
But Radcliffe didn’t stop there. He continued to look for adult film roles in which he could display his assets.
“Yup, I did three films last year and I got naked in all of them. I think getting naked on a stage gets rid of all your inhibitions,” said Daniel.
