Al Sharpton’s Daughters: From Delete Warning To Motivating Dad To Lose 176 Pounds, Dominique And Ashley Earn Attention

Al Sharpton’s daughter has received a warning not to delete photos showing her hiking. The caution comes from New York City lawyers who are responding to Dominique’s lawsuit for $5 million after she allegedly sprained her ankle on uneven pavement, reported the Washington Times.

The 28-year-old daughter of Rev. Al had publicly posted Instagram pics portraying her energetically hiking in Indonesia. However, in her $5 million lawsuit against NYC, Dominique claimed that the ankle injuries are permanent.

After viewing the photos on Instagram, however, the attorneys ordered Sharpton to save all social media shares. She filed her lawsuit on May 7, referring to the injury that occurred on October 2.

“Internal and external injuries to the whole body, lower and upper limbs, the full extent of which are unknown, permanent pain and mental anguish [were the result of that injury],” claimed Dominique, who alleged that she “still suffers and will continue to suffer for some time physical pain and bodily injuries.”

However, the photos on Instagram show her hiking only seven days after the lawsuit was filed.

“We hiked UP the mountain, over the clouds… into the SUNRISE,” wrote Sharpton happily.

In addition, Domnique has been forbidden to make any changes to her devices.

“Cameras (digital and non-digital) e-mails, text messages, cellular phones, tablets and any other device [must be untouched],” ordered the City of New York lawyers.

However, Domnique’s attorney retorted to those warnings.

“[Sharpton] has been forthcoming and transparent throughout this case with regard to her capabilities despite her pain. Ms. Sharpton does not require a letter to instruct her to save pictures which she has freely made available to the public,” stated her lawyer John Elefterakis.

As for Sharpton’s other daughter, Ashley Sharpton is active in the National Action Network (NAN) as the Huddle Director, according to the website.

NAN was founded in 1991 by Sharpton to create a civil rights organization that would act to encourage equal opportunity for all.

While Domnique is the Huddle Coordinator, both young women participated in the March 16, 2015 event against violence in Brooklyn.

“National Action Network’s Youth Huddle will stand for peace and denounce recent violence in Brooklyn. Last week a video went viral of a fight that broke out at a Brooklyn McDonald’s involving Erasmus High School students. NAN’s Youth Huddle program, a youth leadership group that organizes around youth issues often focusing on violence is holding this event to encourage unity amongst the Erasmus students.”

In addition, as the Inquisitr reported, Rev. Sharpton credited Ashley, who is his youngest daughter, for motivating him to win his weight loss battles by losing 175 pounds on a vegan diet.

“Around 2006, my youngest daughter Ashley poked me in the stomach and said, ‘Dad, why are you so fat?’ That kind of hurt my feelings. I grew up in civil rights and politics, so I’m pretty thick-skinned, but when your daughter says it, I started being conscious,” admitted Sharpton.

With regard to NAN, Rev. Al recently opened a Staten Island Chapter, reported SI Live.

“Not only do we open the office today, but we open escalation,” said Sharpton. “We will be having a series of non-violent actions around the city to really dramatize what is going on that will culminate in July during the anniversary (of Eric Garner’s death). We are going to keep going until we get justice on this case.”
