Amid ‘Views From The 6’ Leaks, Why Does Stephen Curry’s Name Gets Taken Out Of ‘0 To 100’?

Drake’s Views from the 6 continues to leak across the net. While that occurs, one of Drizzy’s older songs gets an unauthorized ‘fix.’ How and why does Stephen Curry’s name get removed?

While Drake’s new music is the main buzz, his older songs are still being played some of everywhere. Likewise, Drizzy’s mixtape seems to be huge with the National Basketball Association (NBA).

If you’re a Drake fan, you’ll know that — to him — “ball is life.” And with that, he uses a lot of relevant metaphors and similes. In one particular track, “0 to 100,” Drizzy’s lyrics state as follows.

“I been Steph Curry with the shot/Been cookin’ with the sauce, Chef Curry with the pot, boy.”

Mr. Aubrey Graham definitely saw where Stephen was going — straight to the top. The Houston Rockets even play the song during their games. Oh wait… but now, the team’s the one who has made the fix.

Though Curry’s the 2015 NBA MVP, the Houston Rockets don’t appear to be cool with that particular part of the verse. So what does the team do?

It says that his name won’t be mentioned like that in its arena. Wild, right? However, it could be deemed understandable, given the situation.

According to Wall Street Journal, the Houston Rockets‘ DJ Versatile made things undeniably clear about Drake’s lyrics.

“Steph Curry will not hear his name in the arena. It’s not a sign of disrespect. But this is our house.”

Another DJ, Teryl Gray, added, “If I do play that record, I won’t even let it get to that part.” He’s actually the one who cut Stephen Curry’s name from Drake’s song in January.

Though Drizzy’s lyrics flow well with Curry’s MVP status, one thing is for sure, nothing about that concept will flow in the opposing team’s arena. For the time being, Stephen will get no props from the Rockets that way.

Speaking of “Chef Curry,” his wife remixed Drake’s song in her own kitchen-version. As a lot of anticipation builds with all the Views from the 6 leaks, constant remixes seem to surface.

It’s interesting to see that, behind the scenes, celebrities are just like everyone else, right? Even doing the Shmoney dance.

Anyway, what do you think about Drake’s lyric modification? Was it a clever move by the Rockets?

If you don’t know, Drake has a soft spot for Houston as well and has also made a track in the past with James Harden’s name included in the lyrics. Will the team play that instead?
