Dead Man? Medical Examiner Stunned By Thomas Sancomb’s Resurrection

Why was Thomas Sancomb considered a dead man? Medical examiner teams responding to the scene thought the man was “cold to the touch and in rigor” according to forensic investigator Genevieve Penn, but 50 minutes later they found out just how wrong they were since Sancomb experienced a zombie-like resurrection.

In a related report by the Inquisitr, based upon real-life advances in the science of creating artificial viruses, it has actually become reasonably possible to create a zombie virus.

Thomas Sancomb’s girlfriend is the only reason that he really is not a dead man. Medical examiners were only called to his high-rise apartment because the girlfriend could not reach him over the phone and she was concerned since he had ongoing medical issues. When a police officer investigated, Sancomb was found collapsed at the foot of his bed, and paramedics from a fire crew were called in for the rescue around noon.

The medical examiner’s report explains why they thought Sancomb was truly a dead man.

“They found him cold to the touch and in rigor,” the report said, according to WISN. “They did not attempt to resuscitate him. Death was pronounced.”

The medical examiner’s office then called in for a transport, but that is when the resurrection of Thomas Sancomb suddenly happened. After he was declared a dead man, Sancomb began breathing and moving his right arm and leg. The Milwaukee Fire Department crew returned and found he had a heart rate. Authorities then rushed Sancomb to the Columbia-St. Mary’s Hospital Intensive Care Unit, where he remains to this day.

According to Thomas Sancomb’s brother, John, his brother is “not out of the woods yet.” Thomas apparently has a thyroid problem, and the reason the medical examiner pronounced him a dead man was because he dropped into a coma where his body temperature lowered to 84 degrees. They also thought rigor mortis was setting in since his neck and jaw stiffened up.

John says his brother is improving every day, but he is concerned that Thomas was not walking well the last time he was seen.

“Thomas’ health is the most important thing we’re focusing on right now,” he said, declining to comment any further.

According to the Daily Mail, authorities are also not wanting to speak about the incident.

“The medical examiner’s office declined to comment on the case. The Milwaukee Police Department only said officers responded to a welfare check and found the man unresponsive in a bedroom. Milwaukee Fire Department Lt Mark Stanmeyer referred questions to fire officials, who rejected a request to speak to the lieutenant who responded to the apartment.”

Assistant Chief Gerard Washington did say they will continue to investigate.

“We’re doing an internal investigation to make sure that everything we did followed protocol,” he said. “It’s an active investigation, so I can’t comment in detail.”
