PlayStation 4 Drivers Get Ready, New Logitech Racing Wheel Leaked

Heads up for PlayStation 4 players ready to gear up, photos and documentation of a new Logitech racing wheel for PlayStation 4 was leaked just this week.

The rumor started with MaxConsole, who released supposed photos and approval certificate of the newest racing wheel for PlayStation 4. MaxConsole reports that Logitech might finally be releasing a new racing wheel to replace the outdated Logitech G27 racing wheel for PC and the older PlayStation consoles.

The Logitech G29 Driving Force, apparently for PlayStation 4, is the rumored new product by Logitech for those at the PlayStation 4 console eager to try out a trusted G-wheel to play their DriveClub or Project CARS. While a couple of Thrustmasters have been long out in the market for Evolution’s DriveClub for PlayStation 4, this Logitech news are still putting a lot of gamers on the edge of their seats.

The photos released by MaxConsole member Blazt have been very convincing, but of course we have to take all rumors we see buzzing around the internet with precaution — especially when they involve newer generation products like PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Eurogamer has tried to reach out to Logitech Representatives at UK but they are, at present, unable to comment on this PlayStation 4 steering wheel rumor.

The photos of the PlayStation 4 Logitech G29 shows a pretty awesome steering wheel with high-quality grip and rubber rim characteristic of previous high-end Logitech wheels for PC and older PlayStation consoles. The photos also note that the new G29 could be, for now, a PlayStation 4 exclusive, with the all-too-familiar PlayStation buttons and the PlayStation logo near the bottom of the wheel. The previous Driving Force GT has also been a special wheel exclusive for PC, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation 3, so this new Driving Force could be another exclusive for PlayStation 4 users. Xbox One users might have to wait around for a bit if this rumor proves to be legitimate.

There are also document photos showing a certification issued on May 7 by Novocert in Russia, mentioning the exact words, “Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel.”

A report at The Sixth Axis shows another photo of the PlayStation 4 G29 box tucked under a table, courtesy of user Paolo101. This photo has been in response to the previous reservations regarding the small blue box caught on the photo behind the steering wheel. Apparently, the smaller box in the photo could be a box for a gear shifter add-on, instead of for the PlayStation 4 Logitech G29 itself.
