Countdown To The Crown: ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Season 7 Is Almost Over

Last week was a huge week for fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race. The final pre-recorded episodes aired and the Top 3 of Season 7 was finally revealed. That, of course, was on Monday. On Tuesday the grand finale was filmed at the Oprheum Theater in front of an audience of drag queens and their adoring fans. The finale will air on June 1.

Thus, this week, LogoTV will be airing a recap, or “RU-Cap,” of the season.

Last week, RuPaul, as is tradition, sat down with each of the remaining queens for a Tic Tac lunch. Over their generous portions of fine eats, Mama Ru addressed some deep seated issues that the queens may have. There are always some tears, but the queens usually leave feeling like a weight has been lifted. RuPaul has always been a pillar of support for the Drag Race contestants, despite having to eliminate someone each week.

Kennedy was asked to Sashay away after her Hello Kitty friend failed to impress. Thus, leaving Violet Chachki, Pearl Liaison, and Ginger Minge as the final three, who had to wait for months to know the outcome of the race.

And the public still doesn’t know!

The grand finale was a a grand to-do at the Orpheum Theater. Drag queens, gay icons, and others came out in droves to see who would be crowned queen. The red carpet was alive with the cheers of fans as their favorites walked into the theater. Katya got a special chant of “Mom!” from her fans.

Though the finale will be aired, there is a lot that those watching via television will miss. The fans that were lucky enough to attend got to see a few extras, like Bianca Del Rio warming up the crowd or a live song from Adore Delano.

At least we will finally know who won this season of RuPaul’s Drag Race come June 1.

Monday’s episode will include interview from previous contestants as well as unseen footage from this season of Drag Race.

Maybe you’ll get to see your favorite queen throw shades, or Jaidynn’s booty shaking dance to completion.

We will have to wait another week for the crowning of the Next Drag Superstar. Who do you think should win RuPaul’s Drag Race?
