Mega Millions Jackpot Climbs To $363 Million

One of the biggest Mega Millions lottery jackpots in history will be up for grabs tomorrow night.

The Mega Millions jackpot was originally estimated at $356 million, but due to heavy sales around the country the pot has grown to $363 million. If someone happens to win the lottery tomorrow night they’ll walk away with $259.8 million (if they decide to take it in one lump sum).

Likewise, the lump-sum cash value of the massive grand prize was raised to $259.8 million, an increase of $4.7 million from the initial estimate made early Saturday morning.

ABC reports that the $363 million Mega Millions jackpot is the largest prize this year and the third largest in the history of the game. The all-time largest jackpot was $390 million and was handed out in March of 2007.

The amount of cash going up for grabs on Tuesday night is staggering, unfortunately, your odds of winning the Mega Millions Jackpot are pretty slim. According to The Lottery Post, players will have about a 1 in 117 million change of winning the $363 million jackpot. On the bright side, you have a 1 in 40 chance of winning a much, much, much, much smaller prize.
