Miley Cyrus: I’m Not Engaged To Liam Hemsworth

Miley Cyrus is not engaged. Rumors have been swirling over the last few days about her engagement to Liam Hemsworth but the former Disney star took to Twitter today to calm everybody down.

Miley wrote on Twitter:

“I’m not engaged. I’ve worn this same ring on this finger since November! People just wanna find something to tal about! It’s a topaz people!”

So she’s been wearing the ring for a while. But why on the rumor starting finger?

Miley Cyrus engagement rumors started over the weekend when the singer tweeted a photo of her new nail polish. A big ring on her engagement finger had a lot of people wondering if she was getting married to Liam Hemsworth. More rumors spread over the weekend when Miley was photographed several times wearing the ring.

But, according to the star, it’s just a topaz ring.

So Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are not engaged. OK, but I’m guessing that the singer knew that she was going to cause some speculation when she tweeted the photo of her ring. Maybe Cyrus was getting a little jealous that her boyfriend was in the spotlight thanks to the huge success of “The Hunger Games” and Miley just wanted to bring some of the attention back on her.
