Kim Kardashian Is Not As ‘Selfish’ As You May Think
Kim Kardashian may have a book titled Selfish, but she’s far from it. The 34-year-old reality star has charity on her mind lately. Kim wants to become the next Angelina Jolie, according to a new report.
A new report by RadarOnline claims that Kim Kardashian looks up to Angelina Jolie as her role model. Several sources even revealed to OK! Magazine that the famous Kardashian sister has been interested in working with the United Nations. It all started when she visited her homeland of Armenia last April.
“Kim wants to be the new Angelina Jolie and earn her charity stripes via the UN.”
The alleged source also noted that Kim Kardashian was also the one who talked Kourtney Kardashian out of giving back. Now, it looks like she’s turning a new leaf. She doesn’t want to be seen as a dumb bombshell or a reality star.
“Kourtney wanted to get involved in activism on behalf of Armenia and Kim stopped her. But Kim’s really interested in building up a philanthropic portfolio and stepping away from her ‘greed is good’ reputation.”
It would be the first time that Kardashian has worked with the United Nations. It’s not a stretch though, since she has worked for other organizations in the past, as has talked about Armenian genocide on her Twitter account. On an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she would talk about how her late father, Robert Kardashian, brought her to Skid Row to see how the less fortunate lived. Kardashian would also serve food to the homeless in Los Angeles.

Back in 2014, Kim expressed her interest in adopting Pink, a young girl from Thailand. But if Kim wants to become the next Angelina Jolie, she has a long way to go. She should also be aware of the work that’s involved in working with the United Nations. Angelina was appointed Special Envoy of UN High Commissioner for Refugees in April 2012, according to the report. The actress previously worked as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador.
Being the next Angelina Jolie may be impossible, but at least she’s been raising awareness lately. Kim Kardashian celebrated Red Nose Day to raise money for underprivileged children. The three-hour televised event on Thursday, May 21 also helped raised awareness for several nonprofit organizations such as Feeding American, Save the Children, and the United Way.
Kardashian was willing to ditch her old nose for the sake of charity. But instead of wearing the red nose on her own nose, she wore it on her finger. Maybe she didn’t want to ruin her makeup?
