Our favorite American Idol contestant Adam Lambert rocked the house on last night’s show with a superb performance of Wild Cherry’s “Play That Funky Music.”
Lambert, who continues to impress with his amazing ability to cover a range of styles, managed to impress the judges as well, with the ever flaky Paul Abdul even going as far as comparing him to Steven Tyler and Mick Jagger.

This young man is phenomenal. Who cares about what he does in his private life, or even on stage that makes “some” people go there with their wondering. Who gives a flying fig other than the gossip mongers? He is exceptional and clearly in a star quality league of his own. I wish he was my kid up there singing. Cripes, put him on Broadway or in a rock bank, or whatever. He can do it all and I hope he cuts a CD soon. The guy is beyond talented. His star has already been lit — let us just follow his rise and hang on for the ride.
This from a 60ish grandmother. Bring it on Adam. The whole country is watching if they are smart.

i could care less if adam is gay or not. he is the best damn singer ive ever heard in my entire life. he is also the sexiest man alive. he has major talent and nothing can take that away from him. he can sing anything nad still sound amazing. even his worst performance (ring of fire) was still phenomanal.

Adam Lambert is incredible, untouchable. So what if he is or is not gay, he is who he is and he is a LOVE. Why does this gay thing even have to be talked about. I don't see anyone talking about any other american idol “Is he a hetrosexual, we have more proof”. Please, stop the homophobic crap and let our IDOLS be who they are. I loved this song in the 70's and now love it again. Adam does a stellar performance here.

If you do not know Adam Lambert is Gay there must be something wrong with you. It would not take a rocket science to figure that one out. But who cares anyway. Most the gays are smarter and more kindhearted then the straight people. I am a straight Mother of 4 with a gay Son and he is the smartest and best out of the4. And love gay people most would do anything in the world to help someone in need out. Their born special. Yes there different nicer than most straight people and usually more intelligent too. And I am luc ky to have my Gay Son and proud. Like Lady GAga says Born That Way. And God BLESSED me when he gave him to me. Love all my Children but he is so special and wonderful. Mother
