Rob Kardashian Handcuffed, Detained by Police for “Chasing” Paparazzi [Video]

Former “Dancing With the Stars” contestant Rob Kardashian was handcuffed by police and nearly arrested for an incident involving a photographer in Miami.

The whole ordeal started when Rob, the younger brother of Kim and Khloe Kardashian, spotted a paparazzo filming him from across the street in the Florida city, and he decided to wind up the photographer.

Sources told TMZ that the 26-year-old reality television personality thought he could give his friends a cheap laugh.

According to TMZ, Rob started sprinting towards the photographer, who ended up running away while screaming for help.

Kardashian reportedly then wanted to apologize and let the photo snapper in on the joke when police became involved in the exchange.

Rob was then detained and put in the back of the police car before being released later, according to Miami Beach Police Department.

While earlier reports of the incident insist Kardashian was simply playing a prank, new video footage released by TMZ show Rob engaging in a “very heated argument with a super attractive female” and suggest the joke was just a cover-up for a genuine moment of rage by the young reality star.

Regardless of why he originally decided to chase the photographer, Rob insists he followed his victim into a smoke shop to “make amends.”

Police witnessed the entire incident and decided to clear the air themselves. Captured on tape, the paparazzo yells,

“He’s attacking me… he chased me… he tried to kill me.”

When police restrained Rob and asked why he was in the shop, he responded, “I’m shopping.”
