‘Dance Moms’ Star Nia Sioux Frazier Addresses Show Departure Rumors

Nia Sioux Frazier of Dance Moms has been expanding her projects beyond just dancing and fans are thrilled. Nia and her mom, Holly, have faced the wrath of Abby Lee Miller on the show because of some of it though. There have been rumors swirling that Nia and Holly might be leaving the show soon, but the dancer squelched the rumors via Instagram.

Dance Moms is currently airing its Australia tour specials and returns with the rest of Season 5 in June. After the drama between Abby, Holly, and Nia regarding her music video and singing aspirations, many fans noticed that the Fraziers were not with the rest of the Dance Moms group during many of these recent appearances. Buzz started building that this fan favorite may soon be leaving the show as a result.

However, Nia herself has taken to social media to settle the nerves of fans. Her post says that she and her mom are not leaving the show and that she’s not leaving her fans. The post garnered more than 40,000 “likes” in just a few hours with most fans expressing their relief that she was continuing with Dance Mom. However, there were quite a few fans saying that she should consider leaving solely because Abby often treats Nia poorly.

Much of the buzz built up when the Dance Moms touring started. While Maddie, Mackenzie, Kendall, and Kalani were frequently seen together or doing events in Ireland and Australia, JoJo Siwa and Nia were often not a part of the group. The two girls were in Australia, but even then Dance Moms spoilers say they were not involved in everything else the group scheduled.

Given the departures of other fan favorites like Chloe Lukasiak, Brooke Hyland, and Paige Hyland, many Dance Moms fans worried that Nia and Holly might go next. That talk amped up when the drama escalated over Nia’s video and the girls seemed split in these recent trips. It’s clear that Nia and JoJo are branching out more and more to do their own projects apart from the rest of the group, but at this point, the show is still in the mix of things.

While there will still be some buzz about potential departures as the rest of Season 5 airs and Season 6 likely comes together, at least at this point Nia and Holly seem to be staying put. Part 2 of the Dance Moms Australia tour airs on Tuesday, May 26, and then fans will have to hang tight for the June 9 return of the rest of the regular season.
