Russell Armstrong Punched Wife Taylor In The Face During ‘RHOBH’ Filming: ‘I Had To Have Reconstructive Surgery’ [Report]

Russell Armstrong’s wife, Taylor, opened up about his alleged abuse during a new interview. According to a Huffington Post sneak peek at Taylor’s appearance on Oprah: Where Are They Now?, the former reality star revealed the moment she knew she had to walk away from her volatile relationship with Russell Armstrong.

“The final punch from Russell came on my 40th birthday, when he accused me of sleeping with the Chippendales [dancers]. We had been filming an episode of ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ in Las Vegas at a Chippendales show. He punched me in the face.”

According to the Huffington Post, Russell Armstrong’s family has questioned the timeline Taylor alleged, as well as several other of her claims, but according to her, she was the victim of a marriage plagued with both physical and verbal abuse.

Following the incident in which Russell Armstrong reportedly punched Taylor in Las Vegas, the reality star was forced to undergo surgery to fix her face.

“I had to have reconstructive surgery on my eye.”

While at the hospital, Taylor had a “Come to Jesus” moment, when she realized how badly Russell Armstrong’s abuse was affecting their young daughter, Kennedy.

“The moment I realized I absolutely had to leave was when they wheeled me down after surgery and my daughter had to see me in the waiting room after having reconstructive surgery on my eye.”

After the moment passed, Taylor knew she couldn’t allow her daughter to grow up thinking her father’s reported abuse was acceptable.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Russell Armstrong’s former wife left the show shortly after his suicide, and years later, after marrying husband John Bluher, she’s considering a reality television return. Taylor opened up about the idea during an interview with TooFab earlier this month.

“It depends what the circumstances were. Now that I have him by my side it would be a completely different situation, having a support system. When I was going through the difficulties of being on the show, I also had difficulties behind closed doors in my personal life, and now that I have someone there supporting me, my life is in such a different place that I think I would be a lot stronger and able to stand up for myself a little bit more. Maybe a lot more.”
