Gwyneth Left Hanging After Paltrow’s ‘Red Nose Day’ Entrance Doesn’t Go As Expected

Gwyneth Paltrow was left hanging when her Red Nose Day entrance didn’t work like she expected. The actress best known for supporting roles in movies like Se7en and Iron Man got her chance to show off her own action chops, but her impressive feat literally left her hanging.

At the age of 42, Gwyneth is showing the world that she can maintain an attractive weight, as previously reported by the Inquisitr. She attributes her dieting success to low-carb diet, laughter, and love.

Gwyneth’s botched entrance for Red Nose Day showed us that regular exercise is also part of what’s keeping her slim. Before the televised snafu, the audience saw her pulling a stunt almost straight out of a James Bond movie.

Seth Meyer introduced her with the line, “The bigger the celebrity, the bigger the entrance.”

Before Gwyneth was left hanging, she dropped from a helicopter, rolled across the rooftop, and then fitted herself into a harness before dropping through a skylight — all in heels. As she was supposed to land on the stage of NBC’s comedy fundraiser, her descent suddenly stopped.

It may have been part of the show, as Gwyneth told the audience, and co-host Seth Meyer, “Oh God, I’m stuck. This worked much better in rehearsal.”

At this point, Gwyneth decided to simply continue with the lines she had to deliver. She ended the speech with a bit of a joke, “I think we pulled it off.”

Gwyneth Paltrow’s high-flying entrance might not have gone as expected, but it did help set the tone for the show.

Red Nose Day was a comedy special starring several celebrities such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Sir Ian McKellen, and Robert Pattinson. The event is a fundraiser meant to help several children’s charities and make people laugh in the process.

There were certainly some laughs to be had as Gwyneth Paltrow was left hanging during her big entrance.
