Aaron Hernandez Gets New Neck Tattoo With The Word ‘LIFETIME’ After Receiving Life Sentence

Aaron Hernandez is showing off a new neck tattoo that says “LIFETIME,” one he reportedly got after being handed a lifetime prison sentence without the possibility of parole.

Hernandez was convicted of killing Odin Lloyd in a 2013 shooting, and in April was handed a life prison term. Now it appears that he may be accepting his fate with a new neck tattoo.

Lloyd, a onetime friend of Hernandez, was shot six times on the night of June 17, 2013, in an industrial park just miles from Hernandez’s mansion in North Attleborough, Massachusetts. Prosecutors presented what amounted to a slam-dunk case, with evidence putting Hernandez on the scene and video from inside his mansion.

As the new neck tattoo shows, Aaron Hernandez will now be spending a lifetime behind bars — and there could be more punishment still coming. He was allegedly involved in a 2012 drive-by double murder in Boston, and on Thursday was indicted on a witness intimidation charge for allegedly shooting former friend Alexander Bradley in the face.

Live video from the court proceedings showed a bit of Aaron Hernandez’s new neck tattoo, which gained quite a bit of attention.

The new ink comes just days after Hernandez was accused of being involved in a gang-related prison fight. According to CNN, Hernandez served as a lookout while one inmate entered another inmate’s cell to fight the man. All three men were reportedly disciplined for the incident, with Hernandez being thrown into solitary confinement.

The new charge appears to be yet another step downward for the former New England Patriots star. Hernandez appeared on his way to a stellar NFL career, meshing well with Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and earning a $40 million contract extension.

In the 2013 season he was set to make a huge raise, going from a $540,000 base salary to $1.3 million — which would increase to $5 million in 2016. But instead he was cut by the Patriots as soon as the murder charges emerged.

To make matters worse, the Patriots have continued to dominate the league after Hernandez’s arrest and in February won the Super Bowl — all while Hernandez was stuck inside a cell.

Aaron Hernandez is still awaiting trial on the double murder charge, but there is a chance his neck tattoo may eventually need to be changed. He is appealing the murder conviction, and if it is reduced to second degree murder then he may be eligible for release after 15 years.
