Will Arnett Returns For Netflix’s ‘BoJack Horseman’ Season 2

Netflix has just announced it will renew BoJack Horseman for Season 2. It will, once again, feature the voice of Will Arnett and will premiere on Netflix on Friday, July 17, 2015, with — as per standard Netflix programming — all 12 episodes available immediately.

BoJack Horseman (featuring the voice of Will Arnett) is a geared-towards-adults animated satire program that tells the story of a washed-up 90s sitcom star — who just so happens to be a horse. Will Arnett, who fans will also know as Gob Bluth from another successful series, Arrested Development, which is now on Netflix, will be joined by fellow actors Aaron Paul (Todd Chavez), Amy Sedaris (Princess Carolyn), Alison Brie (Diane Nguyen), and Paul F. Tompkins (Mr. Peanutbutter, the dog).

The Guardian released the following synopsis for Season 2 of BoJack Horseman.

“BoJack (Will Arnett), the legendary 90s sitcom star, who has been trying to find his way through a muddle of self-loathing, whisky and failed relationships. Now starring in his dream movie (a biopic of Secretariat), but humbled by the events of last season, BoJack attempts to use his career second wind as a stepladder to a springboard to becoming a newer, better BoJack. But new challenges on set and in his personal life, and the demons of his past, make it difficult to shake off the skin of his previous self. If season one of BoJack Horseman is about a character learning he needs to change, the new season is about whether or not he can. It’s a character in a rut, trying to pull out of that rut, and the rut pulling back.”

Although, ScreenCrush offered that Season 2 of BoJack Horseman will also contain “lots of surprise guest stars and funny talking animal jokes” along with their version of the official Netflix synopsis.

BoJack Horseman, starring Will Arnett, has been a surprise hit for Netflix, in addition to adult animated shows such as Family Guy, American Dad, Cleveland Show, and South Park. Even the classic children’s cartoon, The Simpsons is laden with “hidden for mom and dad” jokes, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise to the network at the success of their current animated program choice.

As well as BoJack Horseman and Arrested Development, Will Arnett will also star in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 and The Lego Batman Movie where he will be the voice of Bruce Wayne and Batman.

You can watch Will Arnett as BoJack Horseman from midnight PST July 17, 2015, on Netflix.
