Jessa Duggar And Jill Duggar Celebrate Family In Wake Of Sex Scandal, Josh’s Sisters Were Victims

Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar are doing their best to ignore the underage sex scandal involving their older brother by celebrating their sisterhood. It makes sense that they’ve decided to come together at a time like this. According to one report, a few of Josh Duggar’s victims were his younger sisters.

Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar spent some time together today, so it’s very possible that they’re discussing what’s going on with their older brother. However, the 19 Kids and Counting stars are all smiles in the Instagram photo that Jill shared with her followers.

“So glad to spend the day with my sista! @jessaseewald #sisters,” Jill captioned the photo above.

Perhaps the girls are trying to reassure fans that everything is fine by posing for a smiling selfie together, or maybe Jill is blissfully oblivious to the Josh Duggar sex scandal. It’s possible that her photo is simply a response to the recent rumors about a sibling rivalry between herself and Jessa. However, it’s hard to imagine Jill being in the dark. If she didn’t know about Josh’s dark past being uncovered by the media, surely Jessa informed her about the release of that incriminating police report.

Jessa also tried to use a photo of one of her sisters to distract fans from Josh’s scandal.

“Oh, the many random sibling selfies I find on my phone,” Jessa captioned the photo below. “This time from Joy!”

Obviously, Jill and Jessa Duggar aren’t going to keep mum about the Josh Duggar sex scandal — he’s the one that will have to answer to the public for his actions. However, it’s possible that a few of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s daughters will be dragged into the fray and trotted out to defend their brother — a few of the girls were allegedly Josh’s victims — and the future of 19 Kids and Counting just might depend on whether or not the girls can convince fans of the show that it’s okay to let Josh and his parents get away with what they did.

When Josh — now a 27-year-old married father of three — was 14 years old, he was investigated for allegedly fondling the breasts and genitals of five girls. According to TMZ, a few of his victims were his own sisters.

Jana was 12-years-old in 2002 when the alleged molestation took place, Jill was 11, Jessa was 9, Jinger was 8, and Joy-Anna was 4. The remaining Duggar daughters weren’t born yet.

The redacted police report shared by In Touch Weekly seems to suggest that Josh molested four of his sisters.

“The alleged victims are [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], who live with their parents Michelle and Jim Bob,” the massive report reads in part.

One of the victims reportedly told police that Josh had told “mother and dad what had happened… (and) asked for forgiveness.” The Duggars also told authorities that the unnamed Duggar daughters forgave their brother for what he did to them.

Do you think Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar are trying to protect their sibling by acting like nothing is wrong and posting Instagram photos like the normally would do? And do you think Jessa, Jill, or any of the other Duggar daughters will publicly defend their brother?
