Robert Downey Jr.: 7-Year-Old Boy Given Bionic ‘Iron Man’ Arm By Actor [Video]

Robert Downey Jr. gave a 7-year-old boy his very own Iron Man arm. According to the Huffington Post, the actor showed up to meet Alex, thanks to Microsoft’s Collective Project.

And Iron Man himself brought a gift with him for the young boy — a very cool bionic arm. The video of the actor and the young boy — who was born with a partially developed arm — has gone viral online. The exchange between “Tony Stark” and Alex is not only funny, but it will absolutely warm your heart, too.

“Downey was there to present Alex with a 3D-printed bionic arm, which was designed by Albert Manero, a doctoral student in mechanical engineering at the University of Central Florida.”

Robert Downey Jr. spent some time with the 7-year-old boy, and seemed delighted to have been a part of this collaboration.

“[I] had the absolute privilege of presenting a brand spanking new 3D-printed bionic ‘Iron Man’ arm to Alex, the most dapper 7-year-old I’ve ever met,” RDJ wrote on Facebook.

According to ABC News, RDJ and Alex seemed to have bonded, and people all over the world are really enjoying watching the sweet moments between the two strangers who seemed like instant friends. Of course, Alex loves superheroes, so spending time with “Tony Stark” was undeniably the coolest thing, maybe, ever.

RDJ made headlines last month when he walked out of the room during an interview that got a little too personal for his liking. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, he defended himself in an interview with Howard Stern saying that he “should have walked out sooner.”
