Prince William & Charlotte: Princess Charlotte Isn’t Sleeping, Prince George Doesn’t Stop Moving, Says Dad

Prince William revealed that Charlotte isn’t sleeping much at home, making it hard for him and his wife, Kate Middleton, to get sleep. Of course, this isn’t unusual when it comes to a new baby, but it sounds like the couple’s son, Prince George, was a much better sleeper than his sister.

According to Us Weekly, the Duke of Cambridge was visiting with the England Women’s Football team when he was asked about his newborn daughter — and he shared some details.

“He said George is very lively, and Princess Charlotte has been keeping him up all night, giving him a few sleepless nights, but he said he was just happy to have them both here,” said team captain Steph Houghton.

Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed Charlotte on May 2. After being home at Kensington Palace for just a couple of days, the family traveled to Sandringham, where they are staying at their summer residence (Amner Hall). Of course, they are all adjusting to being a family of four, but sources say that Prince George — who will be two in July — is doing well with the transition.

As far as help goes, William and Kate do have a nanny (at least one). Kate’s mom, Carole, is reportedly helping out also, chasing George around, and assisting with Charlotte whenever she is needed.

According to People Magazine, Prince William said that his son “never stops moving,” which is quite typical for a toddler — especially for a little boy. Interestingly enough, many people say that girls tend to sleep less than boys, which basically means that Charlotte — though a Princess — is a perfectly normal newborn baby.

Prince William was given a gift for Charlotte during his visit with the soccer team. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the team presented him with a personalized jersey for the Princess. It had her name on it, and the number “1.” The shirt looks like it will fit perfectly in just a few months.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been laying low since Charlotte’s birth. While William is doing a few royal engagements, he is not slated to go back to work until next month. Many are excited to see Charlotte again, and are hoping for some family photos sometime soon.
