Rob Kardashian Rehab Bound After Friend’s Murder
Rob Kardashian may be headed for rehab following the murder of his friend, Chinx Drugz. RadarOnline reports that Chinx Drugz’s brutal murder may have been the tipping point needed to get Rob Kardashian to turn his life around.
“It really was a huge wake up call to both him and Khloe,” as a source close to the Kardashian family told RadarOnline.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Rob Kardashian has struggled with depression and substance abuse since his split from Rita Ora. Kim Kardashian-West claimed that Rob gained 100 pounds in one year and had become a recluse. She expressed concern that if Rob didn’t get the help he needed soon, he would die, but Rob had so far been reluctant to accept help. Rob fired back with a now deleted Instagram post in which he likened Kim to Rosamund Pike’s cold, calculating character in Gone Girl.
Chinx Drugz, 31, real name Lionel Pickens, was killed in a drive by shooting in the early hours of May 17. The passenger in Chinx’s car was shot multiple times in the back, but survived. No suspect has been identified, but the New York Daily News drew several parallels between the murder of Chinx Drugz and the murder of his mentor, Stack Bundles, eight years ago.
Rob Kardashian knew Chinx Drugz through French Montana, who is the on-again-off-again boyfriend of his sister, Khloe Kardashian. Rob and Chinx Drugz were reportedly very close. Sources said that Rob Kardashian was already working to turn his life in a more positive direction, and the loss of Chinx added a sense of urgency. After news broke of Chinx’s death, Rob posted a touching tribute to his friend via his Instagram account.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Chinx’s murder raised concerns over Rob and Khloe Kardashian’s safety. Khloe reportedly responded by increasing security in the home they both share.
“Khloe has also hired several more bodyguards. She usually likes to go out without bodyguards because she says she can handle the crowd herself, but she knows now that she needs the added level of protection.”
At last report, Khloe and French Montana had again ended their relationship. Meanwhile, Rob is reportedly seriously considering rehab for the first time.
“He doesn’t want to die like Chinx did and we are all hoping that this will be the catalyst to force him into treatment.”
