Kaitlyn Bristowe Slut-Shamed? Social Media Reacts After ‘Bachelorette’ Preview
Many feel as though Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe was slut-shamed on (and after) Tuesday night’s preview reel. According to Us Weekly, fans took to Twitter after the show aired, many shaming Kaitlyn after learning that she has sex with someone before the overnight dates in the Fantasy Suites. However, the editing of the preview reel seemed to do more damage, making Kaitlyn look like a tramp for sleeping with someone on the show.
“If the physical part of the relationship isn’t there for me, that’s the deal breaker,” the 29-year-old says during one of her confessional-style interviews.
“I don’t understand it just happened. I don’t think I’m a bad person, and I’m not ashamed of myself… One of those relationships went too far, too fast. And I made a big mistake,” she adds.
Kaitlyn Bristowe basically breaks down after she takes one of her relationships too far. In another scene preview, Kaitlyn sits down with her boyfriends and tells them the news. There are quite a few tears flowing (from Kaitlyn and from the guys when they find out), and the whole thing looks like a huge mess — but that’s the purpose of the preview — to get people talking.
This season, however, many feel that the “sneak peek” was edited at Kaitlyn’s expense.

The Kaitlyn Bristowe slut-shaming likely won’t stop. Aside from the upcoming Bachelorette previews, there are quite a few fans who don’t approve of Kaitlyn’s actions. However, as E! News points out, this (probably) isn’t the first time that a Bachelor or Bachelorette (cough, cough Juan Pablo) took their relationship “too far” too soon.
