Rumer Willis And Val Chmerkovskiy Win ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 20

Season 20 of Dancing With the Stars came an end on Tuesday night, with Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy winning the golden mirror ball trophy, according to USA Today.

The judges’ votes from Tuesday night’s dancing and viewers’ votes from Monday night’s dancing were combined to determine the winner from among the three finalists in a very close competition. The couples had to dance to a 24-Hour Fusion Challenge that they knew about only 24 hours before.

Each of the stars had their strengths, and any one of the three couples could have won.

“Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy were declared the champions. Riker Lynch and Allison Holker came in second. Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess landed in the third position.”

Many predictions had already been made about Rumer and Val winning days before the finale, according to Christian Today.

Before Dancing With the Stars announced the winners, there were nearly two hours of performances by all this season’s competitors and guest performers. All the contestants of Season 20 returned to dance one more time.

Riker and Allison were chosen by the judges to give an encore performance of their freestyle routine from last night, and former contestants from both this and prior seasons, including fan favorites Amy Purdy, Alfonso Ribeiro, and Sadie Robertson hit the dance floor again.

Redfoo was the first celebrity to be eliminated this season, and he was the first to perform. He is definitely more talented in singing than in dancing.

Performers included Jason Derulo, Fifth Harmony, Patti LaBelle, Redfoo, and Sia. Some special dances were performed by Noah Galloway dancing with former amputee contestant Amy Purdy. Derek Hough and Julianne Hough danced together to a performance by Sia.

To finish off the night before the final results were given, Patti LaBelle gave a powerful performance as clips from throughout the season were shown behind the performers who were standing, waiting to learn the results.

Because this was the 10th anniversary of Dancing With the Stars, the trophy was a golden mirror ball instead of the regular silver one that has been given for 19 seasons. Tom Bergeron said it was heavier.

This was a significant win for Val, because he has been in the finals several times in his eight seasons, but he has never won the championship before this one.

As soon as the champions were announced, the other dancers ran to greet Rumer and Val and quickly lifted them on their shoulders. Everyone was happy for the couple.

Do you think Rumer and Val would win before the announcement was made?
