Lyme Disease Update: Yolanda Foster Returns Home?

Lyme disease is what prompted Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster to move out of her Malibu, California, home, so now that she appears to be living in her mansion once again, fans are wondering if her Lyme disease symptoms have finally subsided.

In 2012, Foster was diagnosed with Lyme disease after signing on to appear on the Bravo reality show. Then, in late 2014, she suffered a Lyme disease relapse, which left her unable to read, write, and watch television. Since then, Foster has been traveling the globe in hopes of finding a cure. Most recently, Foster underwent a stem cell transplant in Germany. Weeks prior, she was in Asia receiving treatment.

On May 18, Foster took to Instagram, where she shared a photo of her home, along with the caption, “Creation of my imagination… #Malibu #HomeSweetHome.”

While Foster didn’t come right out and say she was living full-time at the home, it is certainly a good sign to see her at home and designing the exterior space. Earlier this year, Foster explained to fans that she and her husband had moved into an apartment because she was no longer able to tend to the duties of her mansion in Malibu.

As for Foster’s return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, that seems reliant on the treatment of her Lyme disease. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Foster’s husband, David, doesn’t want her to return. Earlier this month, a source told Radar Online that David was concerned for Foster’s health, and worried that the stress of the show could have a negative impact on her ongoing battle with Lyme disease.

“David has told Yolanda there is just no way she can return to the show because her condition is just getting worse. The Lyme disease is just ravaging her, and traveling for the international medical treatments is taking a toll. Yolanda is extremely weak, and her memory is suffering. David is just being protective because he doesn’t want any of the ladies to use her illness against her, as he knows those women are vicious.”

According to the report, Foster was still hopeful that she would be physically able to continue.

“It will break Yolanda’s heart if she can’t be on RHOBH because she wants to use the platform to raise awareness about [Lyme disease].”

So far, only Lisa Rinna, Lisa Vanderpump, and Kyle Richards have been confirmed for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ upcoming sixth season.
