Leighton Meester Is Expecting Her First Child With Adam Brody

Leighton Meester is expecting!

The news broke on Monday that the singer and former Gossip Girls actress was pregnant after PopSugar posted photos online of Meester’s growing baby bump.

Leighton was seen out-and-about with her husband Adam Brody in Los Angeles on Saturday, debuting her belly in a tight grey t-shirt.

The couple has remained out of the spotlight for most of their relationship and even failed to comment on their secret nuptials in 2014.

“It was a very small and intimate wedding with close family and friends,” a source revealed at the time. “It was beautiful.”

So, it comes as no surprise that the super private couple had yet to confirm their pregnancy.

However, the Country Strong actress has spoke out about wanting to have children in the past. During an interview with Nylon in November, she spoke about her desire to do things that were more her “adult taste.”

“I started the show when I was so young, and once it was over, I wanted to do things that were more exciting and challenging and more me—more my adult taste,” she told the magazine. “Of course, that’s said with nothing but gratitude and love for that experience in that time of my life.”

“Most people I know are starting to get married. It’ll be kids next. I like the grown-up stuff. I like having a house. I’ve got dogs,” she added.

Meester also spoke about her shifting values during an interview with InStyle. “My values have shifted greatly in terms of what I find important,” she revealed to the magaine. “It’s my family, my friends and having a personal life. Those are the things that need nurturing.”
