Ian Somerhalder Wishes Wife Nikki Reed A ‘Happy Birthday’ In Super Sweet Instagram Post
Ian Somerhalder took to Instagram to wish his wife, Nikki Reed, a happy birthday on Monday. The Vampire Diaries actor didn’t hold back, sharing a super sweet message with the world, likely making his lady love feel extra special.
“Happy Birthday my love. Me and the world celebrate you and hope all of your dreams come true. I’m in awe of your compassion to create positive change in the world..,” Ian wrote.
According to E! News, that wasn’t the first message that Ian shared for Nikki. Ian took to Twitter on Sunday — Reed’s actual birthday — to post some other messages that made girls go weak in the knees. Of course, one can only imagine that his words had a similar effect on Nikki.

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed got married in April in a very intimate ceremony. The two enjoyed a romantic honeymoon in South America before heading back to reality. According to Mail Online, the two have adapted to their crazy schedules, and have found a way to make it work.
The lovebirds were spotted at LAX on Saturday, flying in for Nikki’s birthday celebrations.
“We are planning a little birthday BBQ so something is happening, literally flying in for it,” Nikki said of her birthday plans. Sure enough, she and Ian were spotted hand-in-hand at the airport.
Friends before falling in love, things just clicked for the two at some point, and their relationship was like lightning in a bottle. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Nikki recently talked about their plans to start a family. Evidently, she and Ian aren’t in any kind of rush to procreate. The two have quite a few pets, and seem really comfortably just being fur-parents for the time being. Nikki did say that the two would likely have children “at some point,” but didn’t seem too concerned with the idea.
In 2012, Nikki shared a similar take on starting a family with her then-husband, Paul McDonald.
“Maybe I’m wrong, but I feel like it’s a mistake for people to get married and then just [have kids right away]. I feel like it is the pressure of the family making them do it. We want to travel and be able to fly on an airplane without a baby and just have freedom.”
