Mauricio Umansky Is ‘So Honored’ To Be Selling Michael Jordan’s Chicago Home

Mauricio Umansky just scored a major listing. On May 18, TMZ Sports announced he had just been hired by basketball great Michael Jordan to sell his Chicago home. Speaking to the site days later, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills husband expressed his excitement.

“Oh my god, I’m so honored. I mean, it’s just such a privilege to be hired by the great Michael Jordan, and let him give The Agency’s sports entertainment division a chance to sell his house.”

Mauricio Umansky has been working in Los Angeles real estate for many years, but just recently launched his own company, The Agency. On the official website of the company, The Agency is listed as a “worldwide, full-service, luxury real estate brokerage,” and, not surprisingly, on their homepage, the first listing readers see is that of Jordan’s property.

The home boasts nine bedrooms and 15 bathrooms and includes a whopping 56,000 square-feet of living space, which sits on a 7.4 acre lot in Chicago’s Highland Park. On the home’s gated entry is the number 23, which was Jordan’s basketball number.

“There’s a lot of things were are going to be doing. We’ve got a bit of the secret sauce. We are going to throw it into the blender and mix it up and get this house sold. We put the house on the market with a number that adds up to 23, so it’s $14,855,000.”

As for which rooms in the home Mauricio Umansky found to be the best, he named a couple.

“The basketball court is pretty cool. It’s got the floor, it’s got his number, it’s big. It’s the Jordan mark. It’s the bomb, and then there’s a great room that opens up to the pool and to the outdoors, and that room is just one of the best entertainment rooms I’ve ever seen anywhere.”

According to TMZ, Jordan has been trying to sell his Chicago home since 2012 for $29 million, but once he brought aboard Mauricio Umansky and fellow Agency member Kofi Nartey, he agreed to drop that number substantially. When asked how long he anticipated it would be before selling the home, Mauricio Umansky said he hoped to have a buyer at some point this summer.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Mauricio Umansky’s wife, Kyle Richards, recently stepped out in Los Angeles after arriving home from New York City, where she, Lisa Rinna and Lisa Vanderpump announced the sixth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
