Mama June ‘Pole Dancing’ Gig: Ex-‘Boo Boo’ Star Paid To Keep Clothes On At Strip Club
Have you ever imagined Mama June Shannon pole dancing? Well — true story — the former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo reality star matriarch appeared at a Florida strip club over the weekend. But here’s the punchline of this newsflash: she was “paid” thousands to keep her clothes on, citing a Mirror report.
Mama was the guest of honor at the Crazy Horse Gentlemen’s Club in Pompano Beach, Florida, on Saturday. Reportedly, she was under contract to shake her money-maker, mingle with the pole-dancing exotic dancers, and pack the house. And by all accounts, it seems like she did all three — and much more. Reportedly, she earned a whopping $5,500 appearance fee.

June arrived in psychedelic pants, a black top, and a fringed open sweater. She was seen posing for pictures, hugging the famed metal horse. Then, when she made her grand entrance inside on the main stage, June quickly took to the pole. There, as the music started bumping, Boo Boo’s mama started getting frisky with the scantily-clad strip club entertainers.

In another snap, June is seen giving a stripper a lap dance. Undoubtedly, the TV mom was enjoying herself, and the crowd appeared to love her presence in the popular joint.
Management didn’t expect Mama to break out into a pole-dancing routine. However, apparently, it wasn’t off-limits for the television personality. Tonia Ryan, Crazy Horse marketing rep, spoke to the media about June’s appearance and fully-clothed pole-dance routine.
“We don’t expect her to strip, but you never know with her. Mama June is fun and funny. She’s there to meet and greet people, take photos, sign autographs.”
The venue is a hotspot for married couples. In fact, it’s the Horse’s targeted demographic. The club’s business model is aimed at hiring celebs, like June, who keep their clothes on. The idea is to have them on hand to draw in the crowd. And although it’s a strip club, Ryan says it’s classy and reserved for high-end guests.
Just in March, Teen Mom cast member and porn star, Farrah Abraham, appeared at the club. KUWTK‘s Scott Disick was also booked there in recent history.
Mama June’s pole-dancing gig makes perfect sense — and timing. The TLC show, which rose to popularity in 2012, suddenly crashed and burned in 2014 on a ratings debacle. And with June and her daughter, Pumpkin’s bombshell coming out ceremony — they both admitted bisexual encounters — it seems she’s focused on letting it all hang out and remaining relevant.
June recently lost 45 pounds — more or less — and she is feeling great about the weight loss. However, the guest pole-dancer recently decided to get have Lap-Band surgery to help reach her goal of another 50 pounds. She’s reportedly going under the knife later this summer.
Mama June may not be pole-dancing now, but when she gets her new bikini body after surgery, perhaps, the sky’s the limit?
