Taylor Swift And Her Cat Discuss 2012 ACM Awards [Video]

Taylor Swift and her cat sat down for a video chat recently about the upcoming Academy of Country Music awards.

No, that’s not a typo. The star has tweeted a video of herself explaining the ACMs to her Scottish Fold kitten, Meredith, in which she patiently explains to her cat:

“You’re new here, so you don’t really know this yet, but this is coming up on a really amazing thing that happens every year – the ACMs. You don’t know how this goes, but I thought I’d just explain it to you.”

Meredith seems nonplussed at best by this, but the 22-year-old continues:

“The thing about the ACMs is that it’s fan voted. People can go on and vote once a day.”

You can see the full video below. Essentially, it’s a cute pitch for ACM votes – the singer is nominated for three ACMs this year, including Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year and Video of the Year. If Swift thinks the Internet can be so easily won over with cute kittens, well, she’s probably totally right.

The ACMs take place on Sunday, April 1, and votes can be cast here.

Swift already has a date lined up for when the big night rolls around – last month, the megastar asked Kevin McGuire, an 18-year-old cancer patient, if he would take her to the awards. This invitation came after Swift had to decline McGuire’s invite to his prom.

The pair will attend the 47th annual ACM awards ceremony at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
