Jessa Duggar And Jill Duggar’s Baby Feud: ’19 Kids’ Stars Engaged In Competition For Attention?

Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar have been accused of feuding again, and this time the girls are allegedly engaged in a baby battle.

The 19 Kids and Counting stars both had big baby news to share with their fans recently — 23-year-old Jill Duggar gave birth to her son Israel on April 6, and 22-year-old Jessa Duggar announced that she was pregnant two weeks later. According to OK! Magazine, an unnamed source recently revealed that Jessa wasn’t happy about having to wait to make her pregnancy announcement — she wanted to steal the spotlight away from Jill much sooner.

“Jessa and Ben were so excited to share the news, but it’s obvious she was told to wait until Jill gave birth so that her sister could get maximum exposure,” the source revealed. “She felt like the whole beginning of her pregnancy was all about Jill. It was hard for Jessa.”

The source claimed that Jill and Jessa Duggar are doing their best to play nice on 19 Kids and Counting, but behind the scenes, they’re competing for attention from fans, the media, and their family members.

This rumor about a sisterly feud might seem pretty believable to some fans. Jessa might feel like her pregnancy announcement was overshadowed by Jill’s birth, but the tables have turned — Jessa is the pregnant one now, so it’s easy to imagine Jill feeling jealous as she sees the attention she was once lavished with transferred over to her sister. The excitement surrounding baby Israel’s birth has died down, so fans will start focusing more on Jessa’s pregnancy.

The girls might be feeling a bit competitive, but there’s a good possibility that one of OK! Magazine’s claims is untrue — Jessa probably shared her pregnancy announcement when she did because of 19 Kids and Counting, not because of the birth of baby Israel. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jessa shared her big news the same day her honeymoon episode aired on TLC. In other words, she used the birth announcement as an ad for the show.

OK! Magazine previously claimed that Jill and Jessa were feuding over houses because Jill’s parents gifted her with a huge “mini-mansion” while Jessa was given a tiny, mold-filled shack. However, the sisters used social media to disprove the tabloid’s report that their abodes turned them into mortal enemies.

The girls might be too preoccupied with what’s going on in their lives to worry about who is getting more attention. Jill Duggar is busy learning the ropes as a first-time mom, and Jessa Duggar is enjoying her last few months of being baby-free by traveling around the country and trying to prove that God exists. Jessa’s husband, Ben Seewald, recently updated fans about what they’ve been up to.

“We’ve been traveling so much recently! Spring has been quite eventful! We’re still trying to wrap our minds around the fact that we’re expecting!” he wrote on the Seewald Family website. “The mountains and valleys, the rivers and lakes, the people with their different dialects and subcultures. New adventures await tomorrow. New people to meet. New opportunities to share the love of Christ that has captured my heart. I’m so blessed to be alongside my beautiful bride and our little one on the way.”

Jessa Duggar’s due date is November 1, which just happens to be her wedding anniversary. This gives Jill plenty of time to try to steal Jessa’s thunder by getting pregnant before her younger sister gives birth.

Do you believe the rumors that Jessa Duggar and her sister are really fighting over the spotlight?
