WWE Payback 2015: Pay-Per-View Results — Updated Live!

On Sunday, May 17, 2015, the next pay-pay-view by WWE, titled WWE Payback 2015, will take place, 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST in the Royal Farms Arena located in Baltimore, Maryland. For those who are unable to attend it live, it can only be viewed through the award-winning WWE Network.

However, the Inquisitr understands not everyone in the WWE Universe (or wrestling community in general) will be able to spend the three hours to watch WWE Payback 2015. Therefore, results will be presented live as they become available.

There is one courtesy those who don’t have a paid subscription for the WWE Universe get. Before WWE Payback 2015 happens, the kickoff show will take place on the WWE Network, but just like past kickoff shows for previous pay-per-views, it will be free to view. It consists of a panel of WWE personalities and commentators recapping and predicting outcomes of the pay-per-view’s matches. There will also be a kickoff match in which the new tag team known as the Meta-Powers (Curtis Axel and Macho Mandow) take on The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor). Just like WWE Payback 2015, the kickoff show is only available through the WWE Network.

Prior to this, the Inquisitr reported on the latest news leading up to WWE Payback 2015 which may or may not assist in fan predictions on what will take place. Select articles are listed below for your reading.

As shown above, there is a lot of emphasis on Dean Ambrose given the fact how he ended up becoming part of the main event. All the WWE Universe can do now is ponder, but all shall be answered at WWE Payback 2015. As mentioned earlier, the Inquisitr will update the latest results on the following matches listed below as they become available live!

The Meta-Powers (Curtis Axel and Macho Mandow) vs. The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor) – This will be the first match of WWE Payback 2015 and will take place on the kickoff show prior to the main pay-per-view. This is a standard tag team match and the debut for the Meta-Powers, a parody of the Mega-Powers, a tag team consisting of Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage, back in the 80s.

  • RESULT: The Ascension defeats the Meta-Powers when Connor pins Macho Mandow after the Fall of Man

Ryback vs. Bray Wyatt – Bray Wyatt is continuing to spread his message that he is the new face of fear. Now Wyatt has targeted Ryback as his next potential victim, and he will try to do to Ryback what he failed to do against The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 31. This is also a standard singles match.

  • RESULT: Bray Wyatt defeats Ryback via pinfall after Sister Abigail

King Barrett vs. Neville – In the final match for the King of the Ring tournament, Bad News Barrett was able to defeat Neville to become King of the Ring for 2015. Now Neville has a chance to avenge his loss to Bad News Barrett (now known as King Barrett). This is also a standard singles match.

  • RESULT: Neville defeats King Barrett via Countout

Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus – Even since Sheamus returned to the WWE after recovering from injury, he has been playing the part of heel well, initiated when he Brogue Kicked two of his former friends, one being Dolph Ziggler. In the continuation of their feud, this is a standard singles match which may be a representation of WWE’s anti-bullying campaign.

  • RESULT: Sheamus defeats Dolphin Ziggler via pinfall after a Brogue Kick

The New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston) vs. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro – The New Day will defend their tag team championships against Tyson Kidd and Cesaro as part of the former champion’s rematch clause. It should be noted that The New Day will have Xavier Woods in their corner while Tyson Kidd and Cesaro will have Natalya. Also, the match will be two-out-of-three falls. All other rules of a tag team match, however, apply.

  • RESULT: The New Day defeats Tyson Kidd and Cesaro when Xavier Woods illegally interferes, pretends to be Kofi Kingston, and pins Cesaro via small package for their second win

Naomi and Tamina vs. The Bella Twins (Nikki and Brie Bella) – Naomi’s pursuit for the WWE Divas Championship has her teaming up with Tamina to take on the Bella Twins. This is the only divas match to take place at the event and is being marketed as “family vs. family.” Though Nikki and Brie’s relationship is well-known, Naomi is married to Jimmy Uso, making her a member of the famous Anoa’i Wrestling Family. Tamina is also a member of the same family but through the marriage of one of her other immediate family members.

  • RESULT: Naomi and Tamina defeat the Bella Twins via pinfall after Naomi threw Nikki Bella off the top turnbuckle

John Cena vs. Rusev – This is an “I Quit” match for the United States Championship. In WWE, rivalries usually last a span of three pay-per-views. WWE Payback 2015 will be the third pay-per-view for the John Cena vs. Rusev feud. Historically, Cena has the advantage and may most likely win too. Reason why is that Cena has the best record pertaining to “I Quit” matches with four wins, three of them being back-to-back in WWE chronology. The only way for a wrestler to win is to make the other wrestler say “I Quit.”

  • RESULT: John Cena defeats Rusev when Lana claims Rusev quit in Russian while in the STF

Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambros vs. Randy Orton – This is the Fatal Four-Way match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. What is unique about this match is the sudden inclusion of Dean Ambrose since he was never part of the title hunt until this month. Nevertheless, the first man to score a pinfall or submission will become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. It is also believed that the winner of this match will have the displeasure of facing another wrestler who still has a rematch clause, one who technically did not get pinned or submit, Brock Lesnar.

  • RESULT: Seth Rollins wins the match via pinfall on Randy Orton after a Pedigree
