Balcony Sex Video: Couple’s Public Romp In Kuala Lumpur Could Lead To Prison Term

A balcony sex video could end up landing one Kuala Lumpur couple in jail after footage of the shocking tryst went viral this week.

A couple was caught having sex on the balcony of a high-rise apartment, a nearly 30-minute act that was caught on video. The unidentified couple did the deed in broad daylight, in full view of several nearby buildings and potentially hundreds of onlookers.

Video of the balcony sex has been widely shared on social media and caused a stir in news outlets, and now it could lead to charges for the couple in question.

Lawyer Sreekant Pillai told The Star Online that the act would be classified as “gross indecency,” and could lead to a prison term of up to two years.

“They have been filmed and the video has gone around,” he said.

Another lawyer agreed that the couple is likely to be charged — once police find them.

“It was inside the bedroom it would be a different story. But this was on the balcony, out in the open where they could be easily seen by others. It would be difficult to argue,” he said.

One cleaning staff member at the apartment complex said the balcony sex isn’t all that uncommon. The unnamed employee claimed that she often saw couples having sex in the pool during late hours, showing disregard to anyone else who might be still around at the time.

“They are always doing it out in the open and for everyone to see,” the cleaner, who has worked at the apartment complex for more than a year, told AsiaOne. “It’s gross because I have to clean it up later.”

The cleaner said the apartment is populated mostly by ex-patriots, who are most often the culprits.

“They (the expats) are the ones always doing it as there are very few locals staying here,” she said. “The management doesn’t know because they are closed during the weekends.”

The cleaner went on to say that she stopped working during weekends because she didn’t want to run into any more couples having sex in public.

The couple in question may not be the only ones in trouble for the balcony sex video. Lawyers say the person who filmed the act could fall under Malaysia’s Film Censorship Act for circulating the obscene video. Police said they are still trying to locate the couple seen in the lurid video.
