Ellen Pompeo, Mariska Hargitay Join Taylor Swift ‘Bad Blood’ Music Video

Ellen Pompeo, the star of ABC’s hit show Grey’s Anatomy, and Law and Order: SVU actress Mariska Hargitay have revealed that they will be starring in Taylor Swift’s upcoming “Bad Blood” music video.

Pompeo and Hargitay are among several actresses that have been confirmed for the video. Swift revealed their involvement when she tweeted pictures of their characters Justice (Hargitay) and Luna (Pompeo) on Thursday, May 14. She has long been a fan of the actresses, and named her cats after their respective characters (Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson).

Actresses Zendaya, Hailee Steinfeld, Lena Dunham, Serayah and Jessica Alba, along with singers Hayley Williams, Ellie Goulding and Kendrick Lamar, and models Lily Aldridge, Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Martha Hunt and Cara Delevingne are also rumored to be attached to the project.

Rumor has it that “Bad Blood,” from Swift’s fifth studio album 1989, is about her rocky relationship with fellow pop-star Katy Perry, according to Rolling Stone Magazine.

“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’ She did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy!

It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”

The video is scheduled to premiere during the 2015 Billboard Music Awards on May 17.
