Katie Holmes, Jamie Foxx: ‘L’ Word During Call Clears Up Dating Rumors, Perhaps
A brewing question is lingering: Are Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx an item? The proof about the swirling dating rumors may just have something to do with the “L” word.
According to a Us Weekly celebrity news report, Katie was overheard by an eyewitness gushing over Jamie during a phone call. The source claims to have eavesdropped on Holmes talking to Foxx when her planed arrived at LAX. The Ray Donovan star had just returned from attending the events surrounding the annual Met Gala held in New York on May 4.

The latest news about Katie and Jamie may come as no surprise to many people who follow the celebs. Reportedly, they’ve been dating on the down-low since 2013. Speculation is that Holmes’ move to Los Angeles earlier this year was motivated by her desire to be near her beau. Others simply said it makes sense that she remains close to Tinsel Town since she’s apparently reviving her acting career.
Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx reportedly took a liking to one another in October of 2013. Then, the two danced together in the Hamptons for a Django Unchained party. Foxx starred in the film.
The connection took place about a year – more or less – after the Dawson’s Creek and Collateral stars divorced after six years of marriage. Jamie worked with Tom on the film, and they appeared to be chums. In fact, the trio partied together on occasion. Some called Foxx a “third -wheel.”
Fast-forward to today, and Jamie and Katie are spending time together. Holmes is said to be spending lots of time at her pal’s home. The two were snapped looking mighty cozy together and holding hands (in this photo) while putting in work at a recording studio back in February. Then, Jamie dismissed the rumors about dating Katie.
“Oh come on you guys have been trying to make that stick for three years, we’re just friends. As a matter of fact Anthony Zuiker, creator of CSI, he offered us an animation project and we’re working on that.
“They have been trying to do that for three years – just stories I guess. You just have to respect – that’s just part of our lives.”
Although Katie Holmes has not commented on the rumors about their romance, another source close to the pair offered their two cents.
“Jamie is someone she can trust and have fun with. She’s getting everything from Jamie that she didn’t get with Tom.”
But there’s always another side of the story, right? Well, People spoke with an unnamed source who weighed in about Katie Holmes allegedly dating Jamie Foxx.
“This is not some intense romance. Jamie and Katie are friends and have been for a long time. They are two adults who are attractive and single, and so apparently conclusions will be drawn.”
