Earthquake rattles San Jose, California

A moderate earthquake shook residents of San Jose and surrounding areas Monday morning local time.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake had a magnitude of 4.3. and the epicenter was located about 11 miles north of Morgan Hill, or 16 miles south east of San Jose. There were no reports of injuries or damage.

San Jose is located at the southern end of Silicon Valley, and is not far from headquarters of the internet’s biggest companies, including Google and Yahoo.
