Kim Richards’ Dog Lawsuit Results Are In — And The ‘RHOBH’ Star Lost The $1 Million Case

Kim Richards’ dog attack victim, 80-year-old Kay Rozario, has just won her case against the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star. Over one year after Kim Richards’ dog’s attack, Rozario appeared in court, where a judge ruled in her favor.

On May 14, Radar Online revealed Richards lost the $1 million court case, but fortunately for her, she won’t be forced to pay the $1 million requested. Instead, Richards is now required to pay her dog’s victim’s medical bills.

According to Radar Online, Rozario was mauled by Kim Richards’ dog, a pit bull named Kingsley, while visiting her home in Los Angeles last year. However, Rozario didn’t file the suit against the reality star right away, and reportedly wasn’t planning to file at all. Then, after hearing that Kim Richards’ dog also attacked the daughter of Kyle Richards, Rozario had a change of heart. Then, weeks ago, after months of legal drama, Rozario was awarded a “default judgment for general damages” in the amount of $8,083.53.

Rozario asked for a judgment to be made on April 21, after Richards failed to file any response to her lawsuit against her.

“No opposition was filed in connection with Plaintiff’s application. After considering the materials submitted and the case file, the Court hereby GRANTS Plaintiff’s Application… The causes of action are primarily based on [Kim’s] representations that [her] dog was ‘sweet’ and ‘cuddly’ when in fact the dog had a propensity to bite people.”

The report claimed Rozario’s request for $1 million in damages was turned down, and she was instead given the amount listed above, because the “only ascertainable amount Plaintiff submitted in her declaration was her medical bills which total $4,083.50.”

While Rozario also alleged in her suit that Kim Richards’ dog had caused her to have a fear of dogs, and led to emotional distress, a judge didn’t give her any payout in response, because she failed to “submit any therapeutic records” proving the matter.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kim Richards’ dog attacks have caused her plenty of heartache in recent months, but still, she has allegedly allowed the dog to return home, where he is currently being taken care of by her cancer-striken ex-husband, Monty Brinson.

At the end of last month, a source told Radar Online that Kim Richards’ dog was a major concern for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and her worries reportedly led her to briefly consider leaving rehab so she could return home to see him.
