‘Neverwinter’ Xbox One Player Statistics Released, Five New Expansions Coming In 2015

Neverwinter on the Xbox One released over a month ago at the end of March. In that short time, the free-to-play Dungeons and Dragons MMO has garnered the attention of over 1.6 million heroes on the console. Developer Cryptic Studios and publisher Perfect World Entertainment put together a nice infographic displaying some of the game’s, and the players’, accomplishments during this time.

The information was presented on the game’s official site and it provides a raw look at what players are doing on the Xbox One’s version of Neverwinter. Over one billion enemies have been slain, 16 billion Astral Diamonds have been earned, and 86 million minutes of gameplay have been logged.

To celebrate the success of Neverwinter on the Xbox One, 60 lucky players will receive a unique companion. These 60 players are the first players to reach the level 60 cap. Unfortunately, there is currently no other way to get this special Volcanic Galeb Duhr companion.

As the Inquisitr reported, Neverwinter on the Xbox One is nearly current with the progress of the game on PC. The PC version of Neverwinter is currently on Module 6 called “Elemental Evil,” while the Xbox One version is now on Module 4, entitled “Tyranny of Dragons.” Newer modules, like “Elemental Evil” and Module 5, “Rise of Tiamat,” are expected to release on the Xbox One version of Neverwinter over time. In fact, five free expansions are planned for Neverwinter on the Xbox One in 2015, according to the press release.

Xbox One users should make a note of the “Elemental Evil” module. It added the Oathbound Paladin class to the PC’s version of Neverwinter. Not to mention, a level cap of 70 was added, and companions’ level cap was also increased.

The module after “Elemental Evil” is already in the early stages of development and is presently called “Underdark.” The module will release on PC first and it will later release on Xbox One. The developer hinted at what players can expect from the upcoming update.

“Although we can’t give you all the details now, we can say that Neverwinter: Underdark will see players travelling to Menzoberranzan where adventurers will fight alongside Drizzt Do’Urden. We will also be adding a new quest line written by Drizzt’s creator, R.A. Salvatore.”

Neverwinter on the Xbox One is free-to-play, but a player must have Xbox Live Gold in order to access the game. Xbox Live Gold membership is a separate fee that can be purchased monthly or annually, among other options.
