Jill Duggar’s Chalkboard Returns To Document Israel’s Growth: Is Jill Ready To Try For Another Baby?

Jill Duggar is no longer pregnant, but the mom is just itching to put that old chalkboard of hers to use once again.

19 Kids and Counting fans who follow Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s social media pages likely remember that little chalkboard. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jill used it to let her fans know how far along in her pregnancy she was, and she held it up while showing off her ever-growing baby bump. As evidenced by the Duggar Family Facebook photo below, she continued to use it even after she passed her due date.

Now that Jill is bump-free, she’s found a new way to use her chalkboard. According to PEOPLE, it reappeared in the top photo that shows Jill letting 19 Kids and Counting fans know that baby Israel is now five weeks and one day old. Luckily, Jill Duggar opted against wearing Israel in his infamous ring sling while posing for the Instagram snapshot.

This new chalkboard photo might make some fans groan — it makes it look like Jill is going to continue documenting the days Israel has been on this Earth until she gets preoccupied with a new pregnancy and growing baby bump. However, Derick Dillard reassured fans that he won’t let his wife go overboard with the chalkboard photos.

“Don’t worry,” Derick captioned the picture. “We won’t be doing these weekly photos until he’s 18.”

Jill Duggar probably couldn’t resist sharing another baby Izzy photo because she’s still excited that she just celebrated her first Mother’s Day as a mom. During an interview with PEOPLE, she marveled at how fast her life has changed.

“It is so crazy that last Mother’s Day, I wasn’t even married, and now I’m a mom. It is still surreal to me that I’m a mother.”

Jill also threw in a comment about how lucky she is to be fertile.

“I am so blessed to be a mother. There are a lot of ladies who would love to be and can’t.”

So when will Jill Duggar try to get even more mileage out of that chalkboard by adding another “blessing” to her family?

During an interview with TODAY, Michelle Duggar revealed that the Duggar family follows a bizarre Old Testament rule when it comes to having sex after childbirth — wait 40 days if you have a son, 80 days if you have a daughter. According to Patheos, Michelle likely started adhering to this rule because she was told to by Bill Gothard, the scandal-plagued religious leader whose teachings the Duggars follow. It’s inspired by Leviticus 12, and the thinking is that a woman is “unclean” after giving birth. You’ll notice that a woman is “unclean” twice as long if she gives birth to a girl.

According to the Mayo Clinic, most doctors recommend waiting four to six weeks after giving birth before having intercourse, no matter what sex the baby is.

If Jill Duggar follows the Bible-inspired rule, it won’t be long before she and Derick Dillard are ready to start trying for another baby. 19 Kids and Counting fans should just be glad that the couple hasn’t been using their chalkboard to count down those 40 days of waiting.
