The Muppets Get A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame [Video]

The Muppets have been entertaining people for more than half a century, but it wasn’t until today that they were finally recognized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Kermit, Ms. Piggy, Fonzie and Gonzo joined Jim Henson’s children, Lisa and Brian Henson, during today’s ceremony.

Kermit, who accepted the award on the group’s behalf, said:

“We would really like to say how thrilled we are to be here and thank you for the star. It’s a real honor to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.”

Ms. Piggy added:

“You love me you really love me.”

The Muppets saw a big resurgence this year thanks to their newest movie, “The Muppets,” which starred Jason Segal in addition to the muppet cast. “The Muppets” proved that Kermit and the gang are still a box office draw by bringing in close to $90 million during it’s theater run. The movie also won an Oscar for the song “Am I a Man or a Muppet.”
