Jennifer Lopez To Take Off For Vegas After Leaving ‘American Idol’

Its a final goodbye to American Idol and hello to Sin City, as Jennifer Lopez announces that she is opening a residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

Jennifer Lopez broke the news on her American Idol finale Tuesday, including a strong promotion for her upcoming Vegas stint on the social media. The superstar and film actress says this is “going to be the show I’ve always dreamed of creating.”

Fans will no doubt be thrilled to be able to see JLo live on stage in Vegas, a moment which Lopez has apparently been waiting for her entire life.

“I’ve been preparing for this moment my entire life.” “The show is going to be a multifaceted high energy Jenny from the Block party, mixing all aspects of what my fans and I love—Dance, Hip Hop, Latin and Pop. It’s going to be the show I’ve always dreamed of creating.”

Of course, Jennifer Lopez is not the first to head to Las Vegas, as she follows in the famous footsteps of Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Shania Twain and Britney Spears.

While those ladies’ careers weren’t bringing in the bucks, despite their large following, heading to Las Vegas made all the difference, and Lopez is looking forward to cashing in on the action herself.

According to the Daily Mail, despite her popularity with fans, Lopez’s last 2014 album A.K.A. was the worst-performing work for her commercially.

Looking at the other popular divas performing in Vegas, Britney Spears, for example, is said to have raked in around $475,000 per show, which is an amount comparable to earnings by Canadian star Celine Dion in Sin City.

According to Vegas News, Jennifer Lopez will be starring in an almost two-hour show, featuring all her hit songs and backed by a live band, lavish costumes, dancers and the best in state-of-the-art technology.

As the only opportunity to see Jennifer perform live in North America, this show will be totally unique, allowing her fans to get up close and personal with the popular and stunning singer.

For those looking for a chance to experience Jennifer Lopez in her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, tickets will apparently go on sale on Friday this week.
