WWE News: The Big Show Set To Return On Next Week’s ‘RAW’

WWE is really putting over the fact that the Big Show took a beating at the hands of Roman Reigns in their Last Man Standing match at Extreme Rules, as “The World’s Largest Athlete” has been off of WWE television since the pay-per-view. Usually, WWE ignores the small details, and when someone suffers a brutal beating, they’re back the next night, not selling a single thing. However, with WWE attempting to make Roman Reigns their next main-event superstar, they’re not going to ignore any of the details, no matter how small they may be.

It appears that Reigns’ feud with the Big Show is over, and that Reigns will be in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture for the foreseeable future, and, as a matter of fact, he may end up winning the title this coming Sunday night at WWE Payback.

WWE isn’t planning to keep the Big Show out-of-action for very long though, and they’re planning to have him return to WWE TV on next week’s RAW, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer. Meltzer didn’t mention who the Big Show would be feuding with next, but it’s possible that he could be added to the Intercontinental Championship match at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on May 31.

Since he’s been off WWE TV, the Big Show has rarely been mentioned. But, that’s usually what WWE does when a superstar is off of TV for a period of time because they like to erase the superstar from the fans’ mind. That way, when they do return, it’ll be a big surprise. However, in most cases, the fans find out that a superstar is returning well in advance, and if it’s someone that they don’t care about, the return usually falls flat.

One idea for the Big Show is that he could be named the new “Director of Operations” for The Authority, as it looks like Kane — whether Seth Rollins wins or loses — will be leaving The Authority at some point in the near-future.

Of course, it’s very possible that WWE could have the Big Show seek revenge on Roman Reigns due to them not coming up with anything better for him to do, which could mean that the Big Show will cost Roman Reigns the WWE World Heavyweight Championship this coming Sunday. But if he doesn’t appear at this Sunday’s pay-per-view event, he’ll show up at RAW on Monday.
