Dumpster Boy’s Brother: Body Of 5-Year-Old Found After Brother Tossed Him In River

The body of dumpster boy’s brother has been found by authorities in Nebraska. “Dumpster boy” refers to an 11-month-old who was found alive in a trash dumpster by a man who had been cleaning out his car, and heard a strange noise. The disturbing story — which involves a stabbing murder — has been all over the internet for several days now.

According to ABC News, 5-year-old Josue Ramirez-Marinero was found dead after his older half-brother, Roberto Martinez-Marinero, admitted to throwing him into a river last week. It took police days to find Josue, but his body was recovered on Monday.

Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine believes that the boy was alive when he was thrown into the Elkhorn River, and that he was killed because he witnessed Martinez-Marinero kill their mother, 45-year-old Jesus Ismenia Marinero.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Martinez-Marinero admitted to killing his mother, and then told police that he threw his 11-month-old brother into a dumpster. The baby was found alive last Wednesday with only a couple of bumps and bruises.

Many had hope for the dumpster boy’s brother, Josue, but each day that passed, more and more people began to realize that there wouldn’t be a happy ending for him.

According to KWTX, there haven’t been any additional details about Josue.

Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty for Roberto Martinez-Marinero, 25. His girlfriend, Gabriela Guevara, 24, has also been charged in the case. Authorities believe that she was an accessory to the homicide. Both Martinez-Marinero and Guevara are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

Martinez-Marinero has been charged with first-degree murder and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony. Now that his 5-year-old brother’s body has been found, it is presumed that he will charged with his murder, as well. Additional charges may be filed as the pieces of this case continue to come together.

It is believed that both Martinez-Marinero and his girlfriend have obtained lawyers, but online court records do not list their names. While it’s unlikely that Roberto will be granted bail, his girlfriend may have better luck with the judge tomorrow.
