NeNe Leakes Inspired Kenya Moore: ‘None Of Us Are Perfect’

NeNe Leakes had a rough time on the reunion for The Real Housewives of Atlanta last night, as the topic of her mother came up. Leakes never really talked about her issues with her mother, but it was revealed that NeNe and her brother were sent to live with her aunt when they were children, because her mother could not take care of her children by herself. NeNe was sent away with her brother, while her mother kept three children to herself.

This was something NeNe Leakes had never really talked about before, but several housewives could relate to her. It was interesting that Leakes had never really mentioned that she was abandoned by her mother, as this is something Kenya Moore has told many people around. Kenya’s mother never really acknowledged her.

According to a new tweet, NeNe Leakes decided to take a picture with Kenya during the reunion, which was shocking to many fans. The two have not been getting along, but NeNe could put the drama aside for a picture.

“NeverSayNever #Selfie Thank you for being a part of season 7 of #RHOA. You as the fans ride or die with us and we appreciate all of you for being there during our journey. None of us are perfect. We all make mistakes. We love and sometimes seemingly hate each other. That’s not unlike a marriage, family, friends or romantic relationships,” Kenya revealed about NeNe Leakes, adding, “Even if you misjudged me, know that I’m a sincere, truthful and compassionate person. It’s rare that anything is beyond forgiveness. If I can be anything to you, hopefully it is an example of strength and honestly. I am who I am, I can’t be anything else. Thank you to my Grandmother to teaching me love. And to my Aunt Lori for forgiveness.”

Of course, NeNe Leakes hasn’t been a support system for Kenya throughout their time together on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Moore has been very open about her mother’s abandonment, but Leakes has never actually spoken about her own situation. It is interesting, considering they could have been supportive of one another.

According to the Inquisitr, NeNe Leakes thanks her husband for being her biggest support system. Leakes has revealed that her husband has helped her through the tough times, including the drama with her mother. It sounds like NeNe doesn’t regret getting back together with him.
