‘Walking Dead’ Cast Autographs Guitar For Auction To Benefit California School

The cast members of The Walking Dead are reaching out to help a school that one cast member’s children attend. They’ve autographed an authentic artist series Walking Dead guitar, and it’s up for auction on eBay. The proceeds will all benefit High Tech Los Angeles Charter High School.

High Tech Los Angeles (HTLA) is a college-prep oriented charter school, ranked the number one charter school in L.A.

Actor Michael Cudlitz’s sons attend the school. Cudlitz, who plays Abraham on Walking Dead, collected the signatures from the rest of the cast, and turned the instrument over to the school.

Most of The Walking Dead cast contributed their signatures: Andrew Lincoln, Chandler Riggs, Norman Reedus, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Josh McDermitt, Alana Masterson, Tyler James Williams, Stephen Yeun, and Michael Cudlitz.

Walking Dead fan favorite Norman Reedus, who often endorses charitable pursuits, boosted the auction this weekend, tweeting the link to his nearly-two-million followers, and assuring them the cause was a worthy one.

As of Sunday afternoon, the auction has almost doubled its starting price, going from an initial bid of $550 to $1,026 — with most of the bids coming after Reedus’ tweet. The auction ends Wednesday afternoon.

The Walking Dead artist series guitars sell for as much as $1,000 without autographs, though this particular one is advertised starting at $399. Other available images include the classic ‘Don’t Open Dead Inside’ doors, Daryl (Norman Reedus) with his crossbow, Michonne, walkers, and a Terminus theme.

Peavey also has a line of guitar accessories — straps, picks, and more — to complement your Walking Dead musical experience.

Ten Walking Dead cast signatures added to the instrument, however, make this one unique, and an invaluable addition to a fan’s personal collection.

Reedus owns a Walking Dead guitar himself — he proudly shared a selfie with it last August, when it arrived.

The autographed guitar is one-of-a-kind, and the auction ends Wednesday, so if you’re a Walking Dead fan and a guitar lover, you’ll want to check out the auction here soon, while you still have a chance at it.
