Watch Chelsea Vs. Liverpool Live Online: Reds’ Champions League Dreams Face Blue Roadblock

Barclays Premier League fans can watch live online as Liverpool travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea, with the hope of making good on one last desperate bid to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League — with the newly anointed Premier League titlists standing in their way.

For information on how to watch the Chelsea vs. Liverpool match Sunday morning, May 10, see the bottom of this article. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. in London — 11 a.m. United States Eastern Time, 8 a.m. Pacific.

After fourth-place Manchester United defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 on Saturday, Liverpool find themselves in a near-hopeless situation, seven points adrift of that coveted Champions League berth, needing not only to defeat Chelsea who clinched their fourth Premier League championship last weekend, but to win both of their two following games — while Manchester United must do no better than one loss and one draw in their last two contests.

If United win even one of those last two games against Arsenal and the likely relegation-bound Hull City, Liverpool misses out.

After the must-win Chelsea match, Liverpool must defeat Crystal Palace and then Stoke City to have even a chance of moving into the fourth-place position. A single defeat or draw won’t do.

“We’re going into the game at the weekend looking to win,” said Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers Saturday. “Chelsea are obviously deserved champions. They’ve been the best team, but all we can do is control the last three games, look to win those and see where we end up. I’m purely focused on the game.”

If Liverpool needed any extra motivation, the match at Chelsea Sunday could be the final meaningful game for longtime captain Steven Gerrard, who has already signed with the Los Angeles Galaxy of the top United States pro league, Major League Soccer.

Rodgers and his charges will also be hoping that the Chelsea players will suffer at least some lack of focus after a week of celebrating their latest championship.

But Manager Jose Mourinho probably won’t let that happen. Even though Chelsea have already bagged a trophy and, of course, another Champions League place, three more wins give the club 91 points.

That would be the most points for any Premier League side since Mourinho’s 2004-2005 Chelsea team piled up 94 on their way to the club’s first Premier League championship.
