Westboro Baptist Takes On ‘Tranny’ Bruce Jenner With Hate-Filled Music Video

The Westboro Baptist Church is taking on Bruce Jenner, releasing a music video in which the group calls the Olympic hero-turned-reality television star a “tranny.”

The group sent a preview of the music video on Twitter, showing an altered picture depicting Jenner in makeup. The video goes on to insult Jenner, who announced plans to live as a woman.

The song is set to the tune of the song “Kodachrome.”

While the church’s influence has steadily waned, it has still made some headline-grabbing claims in recent months. The hate-spewing Kansas church last year announced plans to fly to the war-torn country of Iraq and protest the radical Islamist group that has taken power there. The move was in response to Australian comedian Adam Hills, who last year dared the church to protest real Christian persecution rather than picketing Robin Williams’ funeral.

“If you really believe in standing up to those threatening the Christian way of life, how about putting your money where your mouth is, taking a direct flight to Iraq?” Hills said to the group.

The Westboro Baptist Church agreed, tweeting to Hills that they would indeed go to Iraq and protest ISIS.

But the Westboro Baptist Church wasn’t able to follow through on plans. Travel to the war-torn area is difficult and faces many restrictions, and the United States may take efforts to keep out a group that would be extremely likely to be targeted for violence.

The church itself has been known to announce plans for protests and then fail to follow through. Sometimes it is of their own doing, but other times the church has been thwarted. Earlier this year, members announced plans to protest the funeral of Star Trek star Leonard Nimoy, but when the time came for the service, the Westboro Baptist Church couldn’t find where it was taking place.

Even if they had showed up, Star Trek fans seemed ready to rally to keep them from disrupting services.

If Westboro Baptist Church did travel to Iraq, the reception would likely be much more violent. The group has taken on Muslims on several occasions, even holding signs that read “Muslims Die, God Laughs.” They would be traveling to protest a group that has targeted Christians, often slaughtering them en masse and destroying churches and other holy sites.

The Westboro Baptist Church is not the only group to take on Bruce Jenner. Others, including Kim Kardashian’s former husband Kris Humphries, who appeared to call out Jenner in a tweet after his 20/20 interview.
