Tina Fey Spanx Strip Act Shows Love For David Letterman, Who Loses His Gift Of Gab As She Bares Bodysuit [Video]
Tina Fey is giving thanks to Spanx, and the comedienne isn’t keeping her compliments for the product private, either. Fey revealed her appreciation for Spanx as she bid farewell to David Letterman, reported Us Weekly.
Just how fond is Fey of Letterman? She claimed that she will never again dress up in a frock for a talk show. Then Tina went into an impromptu comedy routine about the intricacies involved in wearing a dress.
“I realized that when you retire, this is it. Like, I’m never gonna wear a fancy dress on a talk show again. First of all, it’s very hard work. I don’t know if you’re aware of the contraptions under here. It’s almost medical.”
Aware that this fall will signal the exit of Dave and the arrival of Stephen Colbert on the Late Show, Tina proclaimed that she respects only Letterman.

“I dress up like this out of respect for you. I really do,” insisted Fey.
What about Jimmy Fallon? No way does he deserve a dress, joked Tina.
“Am I gonna put a dress on for Jimmy [Fallon]? That’s creepy. He’s like my brother. I’m gonna wear special underwear for James Corden? That’s not gonna happen. So the next time you see me, I will be playing charades in a slanket.”
Fey also revealed just what she wears beneath that dress by stripping to share her Spanx. However, Tina first shared her proposal to give her frock to Letterman.

Persuading Dave to help her take it all off on stage, Tina showcased her bodysuit, bra, and thigh shaper, all carefully emblazoned with “Bye Dave!” and “#LastDressEver.”
And for once, Letterman was speechless. Well, sort of.
“Oh my god! I don’t know what to say. Oh, for heaven’s sake!”
However, Dave quickly regained his gift of gab, reported Fox News.

He complimented her style by equating her with Princess Kate. The entire episode was so over-the-top that the remaining guests on Dave’s show may be challenged to live up to Tina’s Spanx strip act.
The final episode of Late Show with David Letterman will be broadcast on May 20.
As for Tina’s decision to bare her bodysuit, she might feel consoled that she has lots of celebrity company when it comes to wearing Spanx. As the Inquisitr reported, Kim Kardashian revealed that almost all of the Kardashians and Jenners, including Bruce Jenner, wear Spanx.
Kim’s revelation came during an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
“I swear to God he had Spanx on,” Kim told her sister Kourtney about Bruce.
However, Kim added that Bruce is not alone.
“Everyone in this family wears f***ing Spanx!” revealed Kim.
